Hi my Stampin’ Friends,
today’s handmade thank you cards were made using Gold Foiled Cardstock and the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. I do seem to be getting a lot of pleasure from this Set. These are a perfect match to the Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set and I had a lot of fun making these. The rose die cut is such a big die and it fills the card beautifully without the need for much more.
Here is how I made it:
1. Using the Big Shot die cutting machine (found on Page 209 of the Stampin’ Up Catalogue) and my Precision Base Plate I ran it through using the large rose die and a piece of Gold Foiled Cardstock, running it through a couple of times to make sure I had cut out all that detail.
2. Then use the Big Shot Die Brush and foam pad to rub out all the detail keeping every piece as I went along. Cut a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock that measures 5 3/4″ x 8 1/4″ and score on the long side at 4 1/8″. Fold.
3. Using the Silicone Craft Sheet (on Page 203) and a small squirt of Multi-purpose Glue and a sponge dauber I dabbed the glue over the back of my gold foiled card. I glued it down onto a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock and my design was almost complete.
4. I gold heat embossed the border onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the Thank You from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set onto Whisper White Cardstock and Night of Navy Ink. I die cut this frame using the same framelit dies and the Big Shot.
5. I cut a piece of Whisper White measuring 5 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ for the inside of my Card and hand stamped “What a beautiful blessing you are to me” and also stamped a few leaves to create a fabulous finish to my Card.
6. With the left over pieces from my Rose image I glued them down onto another piece of Night of Navy Cardstock to create another luxurious Card. I love them BOTH and know that my customers loved them too!
