#10 Advent Countdown – Acetate Covered Recipe Cards

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

my post today was inspired a couple of weeks ago when I was baking some Muffins and I saw the Recipe Cards I had created a few years ago.  I felt they needed to be covered to keep them clean, especially as I am quite messy when I am baking.

So this is the design I came up with to make economical sense of the absolutely gorgeous FABULOUS FOIL ACETATE that keeps the Recipe Cards clean.

For the Recipe Cards I used a piece of Cardstock that measured 10 x 2 5/8″ and scored it on the long side at 5″.  Using a piece of the Fresh Florals Designer Paper cut at 4 3/4 x 2 3/8″ for the front.  Then I cut two pieces of Whisper White, one for the back that measures 4 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ and one for the front that measures 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″.

My sentiment came from the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set and was punched out using the Pretty Label Punch.  As explained in the attached video I cut out one of the Ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies which measures 2 3/4″ across.

I just had to make them in all the colourways of the Fresh Florals Designer Papers (Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink and Berry Burst).  They look so pretty together and I am right chuffed with myself.

Using the Gold/Silver Fabulous Foil Acetate Sheets cut at 6 x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) I made the covers as in the video.  So I could pull the recipe cards out easily to write on them I punched a hole using my 1/8″ Hole Punch and placed a piece of Ribbon cut at 7″ into them.  I absolute LOVE THESE!

Fabulous Christmas Gifts too for the avid Cooks amongst us!  I really hope I have provided you with some creative inspiration today. Enjoy making yours!

Happy Crafting with LOVE from SANDRA x
