How to make Masculine Cards using Painted Harvest

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

have you seen the NEW Acetate Card Boxes in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue?  They are on Page 13.  The moment I saw them I had visions of gifting handmade cards, but better still CHOCOLATE!  Chocolate is everyone’s favourite.  I made five very pretty Cards using the Autumn Harvest Suite and popped them straight in.

The clear card boxes neatly and safely store your finished cards. Handy idea, don’t you think?  Each box holds 5 standard 11 x 14cm cards plus C6 envelopes.  You get 10 boxes which measure 11.3 x 14.8 x 1.6 cm).  Very affordable too at just £6 (8 Euros) for 10!

I also have a video tutorial for you today that shows how I created one of my autumn themed Cards. It does have a masculine feel to it and I am sure it would be perfect for any of the males in my family, I especially know of one who loves sunflowers!  I so often neglect them in my card making.

For my Card Base I used Garden Green Cardstock, layered up with a piece of Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and a small piece of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. My video demonstrates how I hand stamped the sunflower using Crushed Curry Ink and stamped the centre using Early Espresso Ink.  I stamped out three sets of leaves using Garden Green.   When I originally ordered my Painted Harvest Stamp Set I didn’t order the co-ordinating leaf punch, as I thought I would just fussy cut them!! How silly of me, Oh how I wish I had ordered it together and saved 10%.  Has that ever happened to you?  Knowing there was a punch that I could have used made my fussy cutting seem daft!

I stamped the ‘Happy Birthday” sentiment using Garden Green Ink and the Big on Birthdays Stamp Set.  I layered the sentiment on a piece of Garden Green Ink and cut my own flag tails.  The video shows you how I did this.

Happy Crafting with LOVE from SANDRA xx
