How to make an Oh So Eclectic Card

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

I wasn’t very sure as to whether I really liked the Oh So Eclectic Bundle on Pages 132 and 133 of the NEW Stampin’ Up! Catalogue.  However, I couldn’t resist the larger (diamond shape) thinlit die in this bundle so that was enough for me to give it a try.  I am certainly NOT disappointed at all.

I spent the whole day crafting last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself, as the house was lovely and quiet.  The boys had all gone to an Air Show so were out for most of the day!  Needlessly to say it was heaven not to have to make meals at set times of the day so I filmed three YouTube videos, but didn’t upload them to YouTube on that day too, as I wanted to spend the rest of the afternoon playing!!!

I don’t know what drew me to the colours I chose to make my cards but I love them.  I teamed Early Espresso Cardstock, with Pear Pizzazz using the Coffee Break Designer Series Papers and Island Indigo for the flowers.  Then teamed Tangerine Tango with Peekaboo Peach and Soft Sky.  I layered a piece of Pear Pizzazz onto Early Espresso Card base and then used a small piece of Designer Paper to cut my diamond shaped die.  Can you believe I even kept those small diamond shapes to use on other projects!

I layered my Designer Paper on my card using dimensionals.  My leaves were stamped using Garden Green Ink and the flowers Island Indigo Ink.  Both were die cut using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.  I saved 10% too as I purchased the Oh So Eclectic Bundle.  I always love it when a Stamp Set also contains sentiments, don’t you?

I popped my flowers up on dimensionals too and added one of the Clear Faceted Gems into the centres.  I love using my Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers too!  So pretty!  I hope that you love them too!
