How to make a Gold Embossed Garden in Bloom Card

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

as its the height of summer now the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set was a perfect choice to use on my Card today.  I noticed on Page 156 of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue that there were some cards using this Set that used Gold Heat Embossing.  I love this technique, as it looks so effective when finished.

This Stamp Set uses the three step stamping to create a very pretty Card.  My enthusiasm got the better of me as I didn’t read the Catalogue properly and gold embossed before stamping the flowers.  Silly me!  However, I still hand stamped afterwards and I really don’t feel it made any difference.

Melon Mambo is one of my favourite colours so that was my chosen colour for the Card Base.  I layered it up on another piece of Whisper White and then my hand stamped piece.  That extra piece of Whisper White gives more definition to the finished Greetings Card.

I fussy cut a couple of bees too after stamping them using Early Espresso and So Saffron Inks.  I added a few of the Gold Faceted Gems in the centres of my large flowers to add glitter!  Other ink colours used were Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist.  They compliment each other so well.
