Hi my Stampin’ Friends,
I have a very unusual Birthday Greetings Card for you all today in that it is called a DOUBLE SLIDER. It does look tricky to make but it really isn’t. All you have need to do is to be very patient with yourself and go through it carefully. Once you have made one you will definitely want to make more.
I was first introduced to this type of Greetings Card last year in April 2016 when I attended the Pootlers Training Day which followed on from the ONSTAGE LIVE CONVENTION for all Demonstrators at Telford, Shropshire. What a fabulous weekend we all had. I loved it, especially all the freebies we received on Convention Day. So exciting. Everyone really enjoyed the day and its a great time to meet all the other Demonstrators that live around the U.K.
The details of how to make this Double Slider Card were given to us by Heidi Smith of Flutterbyheidi. At first I felt a little overwhelmed by it, as I was new to cardmaking and didn’t feel very confident. However, now that I have been crafting and sizing my own Gift Boxes, Bags and lots and lots of Cards I am much more confident so had to try making this card again.
I have changed it though from its original design using the same Birthday Blooms Stamp Set (SO GORGEOUS) by Gold Heat Embossing the Flowers and water coloured it using my Aqua Painters and Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads. What a gorgeous Card it makes. WOW, is all I can say it is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, so sparkly and shiny.
To make this Double Slider Card I used:
Birthday Blooms Stamp Set
Pool Party or Mint Macaron Cardstock Bermuda Bay or Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock
Shimmery White A4 Cardstock (used for the Heat Embossing and Water Colouring)
Aqua Painters
Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stamp Pads
Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder
Versamark Pad, Embossing Buddy and Heat Tool
Stampin’ Dimensionals
1/2″ punch and Classic Label Punch
