Handmade Gatefold Card using Stampin’ Up Supplies

I was recently asked by a fellow Demonstrator if I would like to take part in a Card Swap Challenge.  I hadn’t heard of this before so after finding out the details decided to go for it.  All around the U.K like-minded crafters made cards all the time and by swapping with each other this leads us to make many new friends and provides inspiration.

Our theme for this month’s challenge was “Good Luck” set by the lovely Sue Ralph who said that our cards had to be predominantly green, but that we could use any other products and embellishments we fancied.

Green is not a colour I find easy to use, as I love mostly pink colours.  Once I got out my green cardstock and thought about what I was going to use on my card it all seemed to fall easily into place.  I hadn’t used my Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Pedal Pusher that I had since the middle of February and felt rather guilty that it was sitting looking very unloved.  I read all the details about the lady I was to swap with and noticed that she loved cycling and the colour purple so my stamp set stepped up to the plate and I’m sure it enjoyed being used at long last.

So this is my gatefold card that measures 6 x 11 1/2″ scored at 2 7/8″ at each end.  My Designer Series Paper measures 5 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ – cut two of them.  I really do hope that my swap partner loves it as much as I enjoyed creating it.  I also made this card using purple colours too!

Pedal Pusher is a photopolymer stamp set so that you can see to stamp the little basket on the front of the bike.  You can then add the bread and wine, hearts, flowers or flag to the inside of it.  Its just the cutest of sets.

I hope you will be inspired to use some of your crafting stash today.  Don’t leave it sat there on the shelf feeling unloved!

Thank you for stopping by today and Happy Crafting with love from Sandra
