Sandra Ronald, Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator Gold Heat Embossed Card

So today I have stepped completely out of my comfort zone with this card. After going to Telford Onstage Live Event all the swaps I received made me realise that I needed to try new techniques to challenge myself.

So I sat down at my crafting desk and played with some inks and gold heat embossing and this is the card I came up with.

At first I was extremely nervous to dab ink over my card in such a messy way, but the more I played the more I realised I could achieve a completely different result. I then started to enjoy this new technique and am completely sold on it. I love my gold heat embossing around the edges of my Whisper White card.

The Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set is one of my absolute favourites and I feel like stroking it every day. Do you ever feel like that about any of your crafting products?

So how did I create it you are asking. I used a sponge dauber and rubbed Sweet Sugarplum ink (a new colour to be launched on the 1st June 2016) all over my Whisper White Card, don’t go to dark though! Then I used my Rich Razzleberry Ink and stamped on my leaf and splodge pattern using the stamps in the Awesomely Artistic Set. Afterwards I gold heat embossed the long stamp pattern all around the border of my card. Fab, don’t you think?

I did the same technique on a smaller piece of Whisper White card and gold heat embossed the beautiful flower pattern stamp. I am just over the moon with the way it turned out.

The dragonfly finishes my card off. I stamped this on a separate piece of card using my two ink colours and also onto a small piece of vellum. I then fussy cut them all out and layered them on top of each other so the wings had added lift. Then of course, it can flutter away. I decided not to put any sentiments on my card as I didn’t feel it needed it. I shall add a sentiment on the inside of my card when I need a special occasion card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and Happy Crafting.
