My card today was inspired by the song “Up, Up and Away.” Do any of you remember this song that was out in 1967 and sung by Fifth Dimension. The song went like this:
Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon?
Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon?
We could flow among the stars together you and I. For we can fly, up, up and away…….
Well the Celebrate Today Stamp Set with matching Balloon Framelit Dies from the main catalogue can make such a wide range of cards. I sat playing at my crafting desk one evening and this is the card I came up with.
I had the Party on Top Designer Series Paper stack on my desk as well and flicked through them until I come across the crushed curry paper with white dots on. I also came across the paper covered in small balloons so cut some out using the new Party Punch Pack from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.
The crushed curry cardstock is adorned with stars that have been heat embossed with the Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The stars came from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set and the sentiments are from my free Sale-A-Bration “Sky is the Limit” stamp set that I earned when I spent £45. You can earn this for free too!
So I hope you love my card as much as I do and are inspired to have a go yourself.
