Beginners Crafting Starter Kit – Part One

Some subscribers to my blog have asked if I would give them some ideas as to how they could go about starting to craft, as they are very interested, but have no idea where to begin. I have given this some thought and have come up with what I feel would be a great way to start crafting.
In my opinion, four items are needed to get started – a cutting and scoring tool, some card and matching designer series papers and glue! That is it! Why not have a look at the card colours and designer series papers on pages 142 – 144 of the Stampin’ Up Catalogue to create your own style! Click on the catalogue to the side of my blog to see the lovely designs available.
The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack that I used in my video remind me of the style of William Morris who was born in 1834. He was inspired by his love of plant life and history and created wonderful textile designs.
The card designs I have made in my video are simple to start with, but we will add to them each week and when they are finished they will have a stamped sentiment using one of the Stamp Sets, corded ribbon or jewels. They may have a label punch added too! There will also be a white card insert so we can stamp our sentiment inside. Stay tuned to see how we progress.

My You Tube video below shows how all these items work together and over the next few weeks I shall be doing a video to show you the next stage of using the above four craft products.
These ideas are all mine so you must feel free to change them in any way you wish by using your own creative ideas.
I have started with four items but over the coming weeks I shall be adding a different product each week so that you can enhance your projects even more but still using the same four items that we started with.
We are going to be making cards, gift tags, a box to put your cards and gift tags into, small bags, boxes that can hold other gifts all using the same four products we started with. My list is endless. So why not join me with your starter kit to see how easy it is to be creative.

Well, thank you for listening to me and here’s the video to show you how to go about it…

Thank you
